How Does Tactical Grit Work
Tactical Grit: A Powerful Clean
Tactical Grit isn’t just another hand cleaner — it’s a dual-action powerhouse specifically designed to neutralize and remove lead easily and effectively. How? We're glad you asked:
Action 1: Neutralizing and Encapsulating
As soon as Tactical Grit touches your hands, its active medical ingredient — EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) — kicks into action. EDTA is a powerful chelating (kee-lay-ting) agent. Chelating agents work like a molecular claw: it hunts down harmful metals like lead, grabs hold of them, and locks onto them creating a chemical encapsulation. This chelating process physically enlarges those microscopic lead particles which not only prevents those microscopic particles from seeping into your skin through your pores, but by also makes them easier to remove from the surface of your skin.
Action 2: Exfoliate & Remove
Next, the grit gets to work. That gritty texture you feel? It’s pumice stone, a natural exfoliant that lifts and scrubs away the top layer of dead skin where the lead has been trapped. As you rub, the pumice scrape away the encapsulated lead from your skin. Friction also helps in the removal process as it assists in flaking those lead particles from your skin.
But Don't I Need to Wipe Or Rinse With Water?
NO YOU DO NOT!!!!! As you continue to rub, both the pumice and the aloe-based gel formula dissipate like a traditional hand sanitizer product. That means in about 35-40 seconds you have hands that are 99.4% free of lead contaminants with no water and no wiping.
It Can't Be That Easy
Oh but it is. From start to finish the process takes less time then properly washing and drying your hands and is on average 30-40% more effective the using regular soap and water.
